Another Delayed Install Post

Hi all,

Long and short of it, I live in a small block of flats above my workplace and the company I work for owns the building. Sadly until last year we were all stuck on rubbish speed. With my previous contract coming to an end I thought id actually upgrade and get a decent speed. 
Order went through and confirmed mid December with zero issues for an install date of the 2nd… Which has been and gone. 
I spotted the pre-install sub contractors outside on the 30th and had a chat with them, who said “it’ll be easy”, and two minutes later they’d vanished. Great.

The 2nd rolls around and lo and behold, nobody turns up. I get a call instead saying it’s been delayed for three weeks until the 23rd. I actually got this call again today. But my current contract expires on the 9th. When I ordered originally, I was under the assumption that VM took care of the swap over, and the lady on the phone told me that no, I didn’t choose that option and have to call back on that same number to tell them to make sure I’m not disconnected before VM is installed?

I’m just so confused, nobody has been able to tell me why the install was delayed, why the pre install hasn’t been done or even if my current provider is carrying on providing me with internet for another month? I’d be less annoyed if I hadn’t wasted days off being at home! Hoping VM staff can assist because like many others I’m frustrated and wishing I’d not bothered at the moment.
