my address does not appear on the list - I have been in contact with VM on several occasions about this and have reached dead ends every time. My neighbour is with virgin media so the connection is definitely there - I didn’t think it would be such a challenge to purchase a service!

Sorry to hear your address is not currently listed as serviceable. There can be a number of reasons that this happens, including access , permissions, address history, and mistakes with the address directory. We'd need to investigate further why this may be the case for your address ahead of us advising if it's possible to update the address on our systems for you to potentially access services.
