Written Instructions for new VM/O2 account login

Why don't Virgin Media or a mod on here publish written instructions on how to login with the new system and a glossary of what all the terms mean and how  email is structured. This would save a lot of phonecalls. It seems the mail verification loop has been fixed now because i got fed up waiting and tried again myself and it worked. It seems to be completely different and much more tedious now. I used to have one main login with my primary account then I could access the secondary ones from within the account. Now I seem to be able to login to the account from all three emails and two have the same password so I guess I could change the other secondary to the same. Then I was given another code for my email client Thunderbird, which used to be the same P/W as my VM login. All exceedingly complicated when you add in the back up emails and special account recovery codes.

    Thank you for your post. We're sorry for any frustraton you've had with getting this sorted.

      New customer here

      have my Virgin o2 account and can log in.

      System wont let me link my virginmedia account,    says incorrect email,  but i can see it is not incorrect and i have all the mails sent in the last few weeks since signup.

      Tried the phone,   absolutely horrendous,   no relevant option and no humans,.....

      REALLY disappointing as a new customer :-(

  • We understand the frustration chill-1977, when you register for a Virgin Media O2 ID, we’ll automatically link your accounts if your sign in email address matches. If you signed up for your Virgin Media O2 ID with an email address different to the one you used for My Virgin Media or My O2, we’ll ask for the details of your Virgin Media and O2 accounts and link them to your ID.

     

    If you skipped this step during registration, follow these steps:

     

    • Sign in with your Virgin Media O2 ID
    • Go to Account settings, and then ID settings
    • Tap Manage your products
    • Navigate down and choose either Link your Virgin Media account or Link your O2 account
    • Follow the on-screen instructions
