Why won't virgin media accept my cancellation until exactly 30 days.

Called to day to cancel my broadband, contract ends on the 27/03/25, I was told that if I cancel now I would receive a charge. I informed the I was giving more than the minimum notice but was told to call back on the 27/02/2025, and considering this is Feb would give me less than the 30 days minimum.

    Or to be reasonably sure of getting the contract cancelled when you want, write to them recorded delivery giving the date you want to leave with full details of the account, name, address etc to: 

    CANCELLATION:
    Virgin Media,
    Sunderland,
    SR43 4AA

    You can certainly send this before 30 days if you wish.
