Where is our Refund?

Our TV, Broadband & home phone contract ended on 6th January 2025. We left Virginmedia on 13th January. On the same day Virginmedia took our usual monthly payment via Direct Debit. 
On the 27th January we received a bill from Virginmedia showing we are in credit for £154.09, yet still have not received a refund. I find this disgraceful as we have paid our account every month, on time for the past 10 years or so that we have been with them. 
can someone please assist? Chas

    We're sorry to hear you're still waiting on your refund. Any credits are held on the account for 35 days to allow for any unbilled charges. After this point it then goes to the refund team to be processed. 

    Depending on the disconnection, and how you paid the bill, will depend on whether the refund is sent via BACS or cheque. Either way it should be received within 14 days, after the initial 35 day hold. If you're still waiting for your refund by 3rd March, pop back and let us know and we can then check things further for you.

      Hi Kath,

      Thank you for your reply. I will wait & see if the refund comes by the 3rd March. I still think that is too long to wait for the return of our money, when we have paid monthly, on time by direct debit. They have already acknowledged safe receipt of their equipment and all services have been terminated. It just seems to be another example of ‘don’t care’ extremely poor customer service.
