Virgin contract and install
Wow that’s clever.
I cancel my Virgin contract and install a new internet provider because my husband can’t load scans for his cancer patients with the rubbish Virgin service during lockdown and we had to get a new provider.
The cancellation somehow fails even after I spend hours on the phone being kept on hold and shunted around - I see similar experiences here.
I cancel my direct debit because I can’t afford to pay double for internet, and even though I’ve returned my equipment Virgin maintain I haven’t cancelled my account down.
I go to the ombudsman and complain about the above, and WIN.
Even though it is now seemingly resolved I discover months later that Virgin had hit my credit rating by “accidentally” sending my account to their credit collections people while the dispute was ongoing. They did TWO searches!
When I try to have the credit searches removed by pointing out the above, I’m told only TDX can remove it. I contact TDX and they say only Virgin can do this. One search has now gone because it’s more than two years!!
I’m not able to remortgage because I have a debt collection agency search on my profile and when I email the credit amendment people I start the whole loop again.
I’ve just tried three times to reply here and every time it cuts it off with a question about giving my feedback.
Virgin doesn’t want feedback it wants to bully people, ruin their lives and keep the money for themselves. I think we should start a class action about this. It appears a number of people have had the exact same issue!
