Updated my package 10/05 however vrigin changed it 11/05

I went onto webchat on the 10/05 discussing my contract, I went back and forth for about 3 hours. I was then told a price of £73, which I got 2 documents with a contract sent to me. This included sky sports and cinema. I went to watch football Saturday night and my sky sports was off. It was too late to contact virgin so waiting until the morning. I then spoke with another agent who said they spoke to the back team, who would sort my channels out and that the price would be £73. I have all the screenshot from both agents. My channels came back on however I then got an email saying my new contract was £98. I then contacted virgin back who said I had to wait 24-48 hours to see if this can get sorted. Surely if I have the screenshot and the contract they have to give me this price? I never once agreed at £98 a month contract and I have all the chats to prove this number was never even mentioned. I keep getting lied to and passed on to different people who do the same thing. Is there anyone that has had these issues or can support me? I have the documents and screenshot if needed. I also gave virgin the contract information number this morning for the contract for £73. Thanks in advance.

    This forum has many reports like this. VM are either incompetent or deliberately pushing up costs above what was agreed. 

    Hopefully a VM person will pick this up and offer to sort it, but remember you have 14 days to cancel if you don't get the price and channels you agreed.

    With the two documents, do any of them state anything different or do they mention everything the same?

    Sometimes with these changes they need to process them which take take the time limit mentioned above to go through.

    Was it just Sky Sports which was missing?

    Does the first document you got mention Sky Sports was included in this deal?

     

  • Hi they both have exactly the same channels on both contracts. Sky sports and cinema were missing and I contract virgin and they put them back on however now on my account it is saying my bill is £123 a month.  Below is the 2 different contract i have got sent. The first one for £73 was the original one I agreed on 10/05. Then got sent the 2nd one the next day and now on my account it's £123. I'm not sure what has happened. I was told this would get sorted but I'm not sure as I have been lied to numerous times already. I have attached the webchat also which shows i was told the price on the Saturday and on the Sunday the chat saying it would be fixed and would be the £73, now it's 50 more. Thanks for your help in advance.
