Unsafe CATV cable

Hi, I have lived at my property for a year and upon trying to sort the garden I have noticed my black CATV for my virgin media tv and broadband is extra long and a trip hazard for my young child 

Is this possible to be cut and be re-fitted in a manner that would be safe for my child to play in the garden

I have a better image of the cable coming across the garden but is too much data to input in this message, if someone can get back to me I can send over message

    This was resolved within the hour after speaking to the Virgin Media team

        I suspect we had someone in the area at the time who we could spare.
