Unexpected charge
Hi, I’ve read a few posts about people who have recently signed up to virgin media not getting their bill credit. I’ve just checked my first bill and there’s and there’s an activation charge which when taking out the contract got told I wouldn’t have to pay, with this I was also told I would have a welcome gift of £80 bill credit which would come in to play after my first bill was paid. This doesn’t show on my online account and after speaking to someone on live chat they can’t see it either nor can they see the waiver for the activation fee. I called up the very same day of installation as the signal was very weak in the room I use most, I did ask the engineer to put the router in a specific place but it said it would be alright where it was, conveniently for him no doubt. I called virgin up to tell them this to which they said I could add a Wi-Fi booster for an extra £8 per month, upgrade my current deal for an extra £13 per month to get a booster free or to take out an O2 SIM card contract to get 1, unbelievable! If the guy would’ve put it where I asked in the first place then that would’ve been avoided. What do I do? Just pay the fee that I got told I didn’t have to pay, forget about the £80 welcome credit and buy a booster that I shouldn’t need. Aye okay!!! Can someone please contact me or I’ll be cancelling my contract.
