Unable to login to VM account due to an incorrect email

My mother set up the VM account to her email address several years ago. Unfortunately, due to recent issues with our land-line, I discovered that the email address she used was actually closed by Yahoo due to inactivity several years ago. 

How do we go about amending the email address we use with the account; unfortunately my mother is in her eighties, and is very forgetful and gets confused over technical issues, which is why it falls to me to sort these things out.

    Thank you for taking the time to post via the forums in regards to your mothers account and the access issues experienced, we understand the concerns this can cause.

     

    Making changes such as this to account details requires security to be passed and can only be requested via the account holder or any individual who has Power Of Attorney over the account holders affairs. Let us know if you have this so we can assist further.

    I have mother's security details, but given the stress we had trying to get someone to come out to deal with a dead phone line, I'm sceptical.

      As the action required is an account holder only action, we would not be in a position to assist with this matter, unless you or an alternative third party has obtained a lasting power of attorney agreement.
