Unable to agree a new contract with TNT Sports removed

I phoned 150 thinking of leaving us option this morning because my contract is up on 15th October and I have had my bill showing the end of contract rise. I have been on the Ultimate Volt Bundle with an O2 sim attached. I was given a renewal price and told TNT Sports is now £18 extra but the best price was still over £35 more than I am paying now without TNT Sports. Even downgrading to Mixit TV didn’t give a much better price. I will have to phone back tomorrow morning to cancel my services and move to BT after 18 years with Virgin always getting a decent renewal price for every year I’ve been using the services. I couldn’t cancel today being a day before 30 days needed to cancel without penalty. Is there anything else I can do without having to cancel to get a renewal price I can agree to this time ? I am not looking for a new customer deal and i have always been happy with Virgin or I’d have gone back to BT before.

  • Hi vjkld, thank you for your post.

We're sorry to hear you're thinking of leaving us 😔

The retentions team will be best positioned to confirm the best prices we can offer. As you seem to be aware, they can be contacted on 0345 454 1111 (Option one, then four, then four), or 150 from a Virgin Media landline or Virgin Mobile.

Alternatively, you can seek support via WhatsApp on +447305 327 112.

    Regards,

    Daniel

  • Thanks I wasn’t aware that I could get in touch on What’s App I may try that out

  • I have spoken to someone today and renewed my services for another 18 months with a better price than when I called yesterday although not as good as the last bundle I had which included the TNT Sports. I would have to pay another £18 a month more for that. I hope the old BT channels can be accessed again in the near future with the Mega TV package because that was one of the best things about Virgin TV having that included as standard. I remember some Sky channels disappearing for a while a few years ago but they came back after a few months.

Thank you for letting us know this, we do try and remain competitive on our prices.

However we are happy to hear you've found a deal which you are happy with.

We are always looking to change and add to our packages so who knows what the future may bring. Cheers

        Fibre optic

You are never competitive and people have to try eek cheaper prices put of you. Unfortunately I cannot have sky due to our deeds stating we cannot have dishes and their Internet offering is not great so.had to stick with virgin 😞 hopefully with the new fiber being rolled out I  our area it will start to yield some better options.
