I have asked from the one and only number but they keep saying they cant give it to me! very frustrating

Retentions are available on the "thinking of leaving us" option on the standard CS number - 150 from a VM phone or 0345 4541111 otherwise. If VM publicised a UK-specific number, it would be overrun PDQ.
Hearsay suggests a greater chance of getting a UK-based agent when you call earlier in the day, soon after opening at 8am.
