Stream

My 360 box stuck in boot up sequence and reboot holding power and minus not working. Have an engineer coming next week. Thinking of moving to or adding Stream box - know stream box has no recording facilities but really just want sports channels in bedroom without trailing coax cables. website terrible and can’t find anyway to request this without being told to ring- I do not have time to spend hours on hold or to be given the hard upgrade upsell.
Anybody done this and thoughts on performance and costs?

    Hi dmsjr2

It's the standby/power button that you should be holding along with the minus button, just in case you think it's the on/off rocker switch at the back.

Try turning off the 360 by the switch on the back of the box;  then on the front of the 360 box  hold down both the standby/power button and the - (minus) button at the same time. Then turn on the 360 again whilst keeping hold of those buttons for a further 30 seconds.

If the standby/power button and the -  button workaround doesn't solve it then try using the standby/power button and the + (plus) button at the same time instead.

Thanks - have tried power cycling with both plus and minus buttons with no success

        Drat!!!!

Sorry to hear that, there is also one other method (although it probably won't work it's still worth a try) the 'three fingered salute'

Turn off the 360 at the switch on the back of the box;  then on the 360 box  hold down the standby/power button and the + (plus) and - (minus) buttons at the same time.  Then keeping all three buttons pressed down you should switch the box back on using the rocker switch on the back of the box.

You may see an animated down arrow (this usually appears when the box is updating). When it restarts the first time you might see an error saying it can't acquire the channels. Press OK and let it restart again.
