Setting up new account

Hello I recently joined Virgin Media Broadband again after a brief stint with SKY. Before SKY I was with Virgin. My previous account has been cancelled and a new one set up. This issue I have is trying to set up my new account. When I try and register my new account the system come back saying my email already exits , but when I login to my old account it says account has been terminated ; details of new account are not there

What do I do........???

    Have you tried  setting up a new My Virgin Media account with a different email address?

    Welcome back to our services. Sorry to hear you are having issues setting up your online account. We want to do our best to help. It looks like your old email address may be tethered to your old account. As mentioned by newapollo, what happens when trying to register with a new email address? Do you get an error code?

      Thanks for your replies. No I have not tried using another email ( don't have one) and I would prefer to continue using existing email for the new account. What I was hoping was either Virgin to link the new account to my previous account or make old account dormant therby allowing me to use same email id. Is this possible???
