Sent cancellation letter for my father, still no reply

Hi I sent a cancellation letter on behalf of my dad who is 76 in to the address in Sunderland and sent it registered and was signed for at the beginning of this month. We are still to hear from them confirming cancellation . What else can I do my dad struggles and can’t remember passwords and the like so given I was trying to save him some money I thought this was the easiest way of cancelling. What does anyone suggest????. In the meantime he is still paying the bill.
