Retentions

Are retentions any different to doing the web version of chat and saying you would like to cancel. I tried to get a lower price (£80 a month at the moment for 1gb internet and phone line) but they wouldn't budge a month ago.

Did a Uswitch check and followed through with Vodafone offering 900mb and phone for £38 including upgraded wifi and more. As much as I don't want to leave as we've been with virgin for nearly 20 years calling again today despite showing we have checked into switching and showing the offer we've had they still stuck with the same amount. No issue with switching just shows how poor the offers are. Lucky we are in an area with more providers compared to some.
