Request to Cancel Virgin Media Services Due to Relocation

Hello, I need urgent help with cancelling my Virgin Media services.

My account is OUT OF CONTRACT, so I understand I can cancel with 30 days’ notice and without early termination fees.

I already sent my cancellation request several weeks ago by email, but I have not received any confirmation.

I am relocating abroad on 13th December 2025 and need my services cancelled effective on that date. Please register this as my official notice period.

Please treat this as a formal escalation.  

If I do not receive confirmation within 2 working days, I will escalate the case to CISAS and Ofcom, providing all evidence of my previous attempts (emails + WhatsApp messages).

Please process the cancellation and provide the final bill and equipment return instructions.

I cannot provide the old security password because I never created one.
Please use alternative verification (address + account number + payment method) as allowed by Virgin Media policy.

    The cancellation process and allowable cancellation methods can be found on the following linked page.

    (There is also an online messenger chat on the above page which is available during normal office hours.  You will need to allow browser popups to use that service)

    To cancel you should select options 1,1, 4 and 4 when calling 150 from a VM landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone, which should put you through to retentions (thinking of leaving)

    Wrong terminology, you are always "in contract", if a 12, 18 24 month expires you are on a 30 day rolling contract. That’s why you have to give 30 days notice.

    "I already sent my cancellation request several weeks ago by email" VM do NOT have an email address for communications with users. The email would have gone down a ‘black hole’. I think either your contract documents or the website has information about contract cancellation, email is definitely not mentioned.

    "Please treat this as a formal escalation." This is NOT the correct vehicle for this, it’s a board for user help not direct communication with VM.

    "If I do not receive confirmation within 2 working days" VM staff members only get to posts after 3 days.
