Renewal / unable to cancel

My contract is due to expire on the 28th of May. I went online to check my renewal offer and it’s was incredibly high (I’m guessing because it’s based off my current contract but not taking into account the discounts I have on it)

I then went through the process of trying to cancel…over 2 hours on chat queue only to be told I can’t cancel or put a cancellation note on my account without having to pay a termination fee. I was told I would need to wait till April before I can request a cancellation. 

is this correct? 

on a different note, it feels like for one of the first time in years that VM are totally not interested in retaining customers. Paying over 2k a year for TV / BB is absolute insanity.

  • Hi betamax_bandit thanks for posting although we're sorry to hear of the concerns you've raised here.

    It does completely depend on the end date of your contract, if we're putting your disconnection on a date that's still within your minimum term.
