Random Bill Amount

Is there anyone here that works for virgin that can assist? I can't cope with webchat anymore. For my June bill there is a £3.80 difference between my package price and the total amount of my bill, no in my favour obviously. On contacting virgin, it was explained as "statement tax". Which isn't a thing, they agent offered to amend the bill, which is fine, but I really need to know why a random amount has just been added. There are no additional charges, no package changes to generate pro rata charges so it genuinely looks like they have just added £3.80 and hoped i wouldn't notice! Very shady practice which I'm sure the ombudsman or regulator would frown upon!
