Provider Changed

My daughter thought the Provider I was with was rubbish & talked me into changing back to V.M. all my same cables coming into my house have been used before but I didn't know till the  engineer came that  I couldn't record he said to phone & ask to change to a V360 I have tried to manage but I still like to record programs & avoid ads. When I phoned I was told I can't have the 360 why didn't the engineer know that. No mention on my quote of Stream only say's Virgin Box. I am in my 80's & hate the ads. Any help ?

Come winter & my channels are all on at 9pm I like to record & play in my own time just like my friends that are all on V.M.do. They are all shocked that I can't record. I wish i hadn't let myself be talked into changing. The ads are all aimed at people my age 8o's So it's nice to record & fast forward.  I had Virgin media before so all the cables were there. I would rather have paid extra & have what I thought I was getting.

Do you have a TV aerial? If so you can get a Freeview recorder that will record all the channels and speed through the adverts.

In regards to adverts, can you please confirm where these adverts are?

The content provided should not be anything alternative to what is being broadcasted on alternative set top boxes that our customers use.

    On our wavelength

VM like to keep the TV box description vague so you don't know it won't record until after you've signed up. You aren't the first to be caught out.

Some people have been able to get the 360 recording box for an extra £50. But it operates in its own way and will be very different to any TV box you have been using.

If you are really unhappy with the new service you can cancel it at no cost within 14 days from when it was first connected.

Stream boxes are now provided as standard. However it is not true that you cannot have V360 if you are still connected to VMs traditional network, which it seems like you are.

V360 is now only available through telesales & involves a £50 activation fee.

The forum staff here should respond soon & may be able to help.
