Original email no access and cannot login to my account.

Hi, I have been a virgin media customer for years, never had a reason to change my login as it was a simple username and password but since merger with o2 I cannot login as have no access to original email address I registered with. I have spoken on the phone and apparently they cannot do anything from there side does anybody have any ideas?

      I enter username email address but won't take me to password page sends the verification email to the address I have no access to, I am an o2 customer aswell I was hoping to link accounts under the email address registered to o2
