New Deals Very Unfair to Existing Customers

Noted this morning Virgin Media have a sale on for their numerous bundles at prices which existing customers are currently paying a lot more for their services, TV, Broadband Landline, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema etc. I think this is terribly unfair to existing customers and the Regulator should look into this. What I am paying now, currently £89 a month, new customers are being offered Sky Sports, 1 gigabite broadband etc at the same cost. I wonder what other Virgin customers think? They should seriously ask the same question, is Virgin Media being fair to their existing customers? I think not.

This has been the case for a long time.  If you are not happy, just leave.  I’ve done this twice and each time came back as a new customer.  However I don’t use VM for email so can move around any ISP.  If you have a partner, you can leave and get them to join as a new user.  There will be a few days between when your kit is returned and the new kit arriving however, so perhaps tether to a phone for a while?

Promotions & offers will always come & go in all industries, VM is no exception.

You need to get the best available bundle each time you re-contract, and then accept the price certainty that gives you for 18/24 months, annual rises not withstanding.
