Neighbours cable on my lawn

I have recently cleared a large overgrown area in my front garden and this has revealed that my neighbours Virgin cable is laid across a wide area of my garden. It is obstructing where I am laying a new lawn. How do I get Virgin to move it onto my neighbours property ?

Inform the neighbours the cable needs to be removed in X weeks
as you are about to have the ground rotivated for the new lawn.

As far as I know my neighbours no longer have a Virgin contract, is it still for them to contact Virgin ?  Will they be charged to move the cable ? What if they are nt interested and tell me to just cut and remove the cable as they don't need it, can I legally do this ?

        Hi Mike0779,

Thanks for taking the time to get in touch. We're sorry to hear the neighbours connection is affecting your ability to do some garden works. If the neighbours so have an active connection, they'll just need to get in touch with us so we can arrange an appointment to discuss what needs to be done.

If they don't have a connection, then as the cable is not live in any way, you are able to cut this and dispose of yourself.

        Many thanks,
