Landlord is seeking the house I live in

Hello 

I’ve lived  and rented my current property for 2.5 years and have always had vrigin media. I have recently signed another 18 month  contact.

my landlord informed me that he can no longer keep up his mortgage payments and will be selling the house 

I will not be able to rent another property due to rental prices in London and will have to stay with various friends

is there anyway I can get out of my contract without paying fees? I’m sure my landlord would write a letter to confirm the above?

    If your new home is in the UK and can't be connected to the VM network then you may be allowed to leave without any early termination fees providing you can provide VM with paperwork that meets their required criteria.

    I'm afraid the forum team don't have access to the systems to deal with moving home or cancellations.

    When the time comes you need to speak to Home movers team by dialling 150 from a Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone but it's best to call at 8am to avoid call queues

    VM will still charge the early terminatiion fees but will then refund them as long as you give them evidence, within 30 days of cancelling, of you residing at the new property.

    The accepted documents showing your new address are :-  bank statement, driving licence, insurance policy, mortgage information, rental agreement or utility bill

    If you don't want to be tied up on the phone you could also text VM on 0753 305 1809 or use WhatsApp on 0730 532 7112. Please be aware that replies aren't instant from either of these services, often taking 4 to 6 hours, but the agents will reply as quickly as they possibly can.
