I received an email to say that my current discount was being extended for a further 12 months.
Has anyone else had this, is it real?

It's an early ploy to make you accept a new contract for another minimum term.
It says the discount is for 12 months, but the terms these days are 24 months, but can't see a mention of the price it would go to after 12 months.
Probably a new method to prevent people haggling for a new retentions deal over the phone, hoping that most people would accept the amount they pay now, and not go and look at new customer pricing or competition then haggle, only to then leave anyway when things don't go as planned.
It does say "no new contract" mind. A confusing email that I would query too.
It looks genuine, it would take one of the Forum staff to verify it, they don't frequent the chatter sections though. Maybe someone will move this thread into the Managing your account section of the Forum where it will get more attention from the Forum staff.
Yes I thought it looked genuine, however I went on the online chat to ask if it was and they seemed more interested in getting me to renew for 24 months.
I don't want to renew for 24 months if I don't have to.
How can I get someone to move the thread? Or is it just pot luck?
