I have a M350 Broadband but no TV

I joined VM in August and still had a sky subscription that will end soon, what can i do to get a tv package with VM that has the Sky essential channels which is the same title on the VM deck of channels, i had a char with VM and they said they wanted £30 set up costs then £5 monthly  for something else then £18 monthly for essentials, is there a way of getting rid of the set up cost if I'm an existing user and don't need an engineer to set up the TV box.

Agree with Carduffman282, Flex is a rolling £5 monthly charge for lots of channels, and you can have 30 day subscriptions to Entertainment channels like GOLD, National Geographic, Discovery, MTV, History etc. No lock in for 24 months or crazy kit prices just an activation fee of £10 and it works off WiFi or Ethernet network cable and is TV Broadcast quality not some ultra low bit rate streaming picture. Downside is no recording but it has catch up players from BBC, ITV, CHR,CH5,U and apps like Disney, Apple TV and Netflix. Netflix is a separate subscription along with Disney and Apple TV.

You do get 10% back of the subscription charge each month except for the base £5 a month one for the box and free to air channels (There are more than Freeview as Euronews and CNN for example).

        Hi Bodgeit1

The Flex TV channels are shown on <this page>    The free to air channels included the £5 per month charge are shown in column 1 -  the additional subscription channels are shown with a tick in column 2.

Sky's live television channels included in its Essential TV package are largely comparable to those offered in VM's Mixit TV bundle (requires a 360 box) but VM does not offer Sky Atlantic at all and discovery+ (yet) which are included in the Essential TV package.

  • Hi Bodgeit1,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

As mentioned by Roger_Gooner, our Mixit TV bundle is quite similar to the Sky Essential package however we don't offer the Sky Atlantic channel. You can view our channel guide here to see what channels are included in which TV tier.

In terms of the set up cost, there will usually be a delivery fee and an activation fee. We do sometimes have offers on that will mean a free activation but this will depend on what's available when looking to upgrade. You can speak to the team on 150 / 0345 454 1111 to speak to us about your upgrade and the associated costs with it.

    Thanks,
