This has had regular past mentions on here and the conclusion seems to be that you can make upgrades online but not downgrades.
It would not really be in VM's own interests to offer you a simple and easy way to pay VM less money!
If you want to downgrade your services, you need to engage with a VM sales agent who will do all they can to stop you from doing this as reported in regular topics on here.

The reason that has been given in the past relates to the discounting structure, as each component affects the discount on others. Also bear in mind VM is running multiple inherited billing systems from the companies they absorbed.
I ought to point out that that online upgrades, while seeming to be automated, just raise a request in the Customer Services stack for an agent to make the changes manually to a customer account.

If you haven't already done so, check on line or with a comparison site to see what prices you are offered from other providers. You will need this when speaking to VM Sales.

The behaviour suggests VM Customer Services are only interested in processing an upgrade order that results in the service agent receiving a commission.

Hey Client62, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry you feel this way, just to confirm something we do not get Commission for upgrading or downloading.

So what is the explanation for the utterly abysmal customer service ?
