Credit Score - Ruined
Dear Virgin Media,
I am writing to urgently address an issue that has caused my recent mortgage application to be rejected due to an incorrect charge from Virgin Media on my credit file.
I have already contacted creditfileamendments@virginmedia.co.uk but have not received a response, and this matter requires immediate resolution.
To the best of my knowledge:
- I have not received any communication from Virgin Media regarding an outstanding balance.
- I am unable to access my account to verify this as it has been closed.
This incorrect entry is severely impacting my ability to secure a mortgage and is causing significant distress. I urge you to investigate and resolve this issue immediately by removing the inaccurate charge from my credit file.
If I do not receive a prompt response, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter legally, including filing a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service and reporting the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for a potential breach of GDPR.
Please confirm receipt of this email and provide a timeline for resolution within the next 24 hours. I expect this to be prioritised given the gravity of the situation.
