Credit report - Incorrect Default applied - URGENT PLEASE HELP
Dear Virgin Media Customer Service,
I am writing to bring to your attention an urgent issue I have recently discovered on my credit report. This has caused my mortgage application to be declined!
Upon reviewing my credit report, I noticed that a default credit mark has been placed by Virgin Media against MY account in July 2020, I closed the account and moved from the property in Feb 2020. To make matters worse you have also sold the £68 debt to JC International acquisitions?!
To my knowledge, there are no outstanding issues, unpaid bills, or disputes that would warrant such a negative impact on my credit history. To this day I have not had any contact from either of Virgin or JCIA causing me this issue on my credit report!
I have also emailed yourselves to request that you investigate this matter urgently and provide me with a detailed explanation of the circumstances leading to the adverse credit marking. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could take the necessary steps to rectify this situation and have the adverse credit mark removed from my credit report immediately and provide me with written confirmation this has been done to provide to my lender.
Please understand that the negative impact on my credit history is having very serious consequences. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter we your email response confirms 21 days to respond and I do not have 21 days as need to complete our mortgage application or will be homeless!
