Charge for adult movie

While flicking around previews last night I was charged £6.95 for an adult movie I didn't want or watch. There should be a confirm purchase option in this case like other choices do. Hopefully Virgin will be able to see it is unwatched as I'd either like a refund or a number I can phone on Monday to talk to someone about this error.

Hi, thanks, yes but I didn't want any additional content. Just in the habit of entering pin number when post watershed times or films are violent or action/thrillers

I don't have VM TV anymore (cheapskate Freeview here) but reading these Forums would suggest yes there is a PIN, but it is needed to "see" what channels are available, but not another PIN to actually watch?

  • Hi, only the one pin. I have to enter it to see trailers if perhaps it's rated not for kids or catch up programmes that were transmitted after nine.

      Hi Michaeltorrance

Welcome to our Community Forums and thanks for your post.

This kind of content does always require you to enter your Pin ahead of viewing. You can see more about how to manage your pin here👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/tv/set-up-virgin-tv-pin

When purchasing any pay-per-view content via your TV box it should advise that the content is PPV, and then it will ask for your pin to purchase.

Hi, thanks for the reply. The point is you should confirm you're having to pay for something instead of watching a preview. I wouldn't pay for what is probably free on the Web or be stupid enough to put it on my own bill. Please advise on who to phone on Monday morning as I'd still like to complain and have £6.95 refunded to my account, kind regards...

  • Ahh the old "I accidentally put in my pin when looking at adult content" excuse. 😉

It is not a hint.  More likely the trouble and strife has spotted the charge.

Would you enter your Payment Card PIN at the supermarket and have any illusion that you will not be billed !

  • I mean mistakes do happen, I work in operating theatres and it's fascinating how many blokes happen to just sit on their wife's toys or are hoovering naked and accidentally get their bits suck.
