Cancelled contract no refund?

I've cancelled my virgin media contract on 2nd January, I've returned the kit and I had a letter confirming credit on my account, but a month later no fee refund why? It's ridiculous it's taking this long. 

Why does it take so long? It's my money and I'd like it back. How does it get credited in back as I've recently moved.

    Please do remember we do bill right until the day of the disconnection, then we would send you a final payment and once any kit and the bill as we been paid we would send a cheque refund out within 45 days of this. 

    We continue to bill you as usual until your disconnection is complete. This helps to make sure your final month of service isn't interrupted. You will therefore probably see charges that go beyond your disconnection date, normally because your cancellation date takes effect mid billing cycle.

    If it goes past this time limit, please do reach out.

      Thanks for the reply but I was disconnected on 2nd January after cancelling on 2nd December. 45 days seems ridiculous when I had to wait weeks for you to send the box to return the kit you would otherwise charge for. I've changed address in the intervening period hence the cancellation is there a way to check what address this will be sent to?
