Business address to Residential - help please?

My friend has been a Virgin Media customer for many years, so when she moved home this week, she called to transfer her service to her new address. She has been advised that her address is listed as a business address but offered no help as to how to resolve this. The postcode checker listed other adjacent flats in her block but not her specific flat number. Is there anyone who can advise how to resolve this please? She is currently without Broadband, telephone and TV. Many thanks in advance

    Sorry to hear about your friends experience trying to transfer her services as part of a home move! 

    Was she advised that there are already existing business services at the property? (And so this is why she couldn't take out residential services?)
    Sadly we're a bit limited with the support we can provide for sales orders via this platform but it should be possible to arrange a site visit to see if services are possible at the new address if it's not currently listed via the postcode checker 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/postcode-checker . You can also register interest in services if they are not listed, and the team will get back in touch. (Let us know if you need help with this!)

  • Thank you for replying. Yes she was told that the address was listed under a Business address, but whilst on the telephone to VirginMedia Michael switched this over to Residential and arranged an Engineer to visit on Thursday past. That visit was then later cancelled by VM stating that it was a Business address and was left at that. She has since rang numerous times and has not been able to be given advice to resolve this at all, her Customer Service experience has not been good. 

    The address is not listed on the postcode checker (numerous others within the same building are listed) and interest has been registered.

    I have seen other posts where help has been offered to resolve this by DM we would appreciate similar advice.
