Bill says paid but I haven't paid

So I just looked on the app and it says that the money I owe has been paid but I haven't paid anything? It says the bill was due on the 12th and the only money I am getting on the 12th is my housing benefit that universal credit owe me and I have to give that straight to my landlord and I'm worried incase virgin takes my rent money out of the bank account as soon as uc sends it in or because it says paid I'm worried it has already done that as I can't check my bank account right now to check. How do I change the date I want this bill to be paid if it hasn't already been took out as the 12th is the day I get my rent money and is also the day my direct debt bill is due.

    Welcome to the Community Forums. 

    Sorry to hear of your payment concerns. If you've an active direct debit, then this would be requested automatically from your bank 3-5 days before it's due and then show as paid. 

    If the direct debit is rejected by the bank, then this would show as still owed after your due date.

      I already know all of that, my issue is the money going into the bank account tomorrow is my rent money and then virgin will take the money from my rent. I think you missed the problem. I need to change that bill date to a different date so it doesn't take my rent.

        We can of course look to change the billing date, but to confirm if we did this change this now it will not affect this current bill because this would be to close to changed.

        This would most likely take effect for the following months bill.

        If that is okay, please do let us know.
