suspicious email from 'VM' is it geniune?

received this email this morning.

Seems a bit suspicious, so have NOT clicked on any links, just viewed the content.

Anyone from VM able to check this please. (all personal details removed for security, obviously)

from 'Virgin media' <email@em.virginmedia.co.uk

heading  (My Name, removed, obviously!!)

your Virgin Media TV box needs an upgrade

We wanted to let you know that you are now eligible for Virgin
TV 360, at no extra cost.

What do I need to do?
Click here to log in to My Virgin Media and request your update.

Alternatively, you can visit the ‘Apps and Games’ section on your current TV box and select the ‘Upgrade now’ app. Simply follow the steps on the screen. We’ll send you a new 360 remote, and an ‘Install now’ app will appear to help you finish setting things up.

Here’s how it works
We can’t transfer your recordings and settings when you switch to 360, so make sure you watch the shows you need to before you hit that button. You can still watch many of them on Catch Up or On Demand (depending on which TV pack you have).

Watch our handy video on how to complete the upgrade, here.

To learn more about the benefits of 360, head here.

Thanks,
The Virgin Media team

Yes, it is a genuine VM email but whether or not it is an 'upgrade' could be debateable. Others on here have referred to it as a 'migration' akin to a change of operating system on a computer/phone.
