Thanks to Beth_G my credit score looks to have reverted back to it's original position and the negative events on my credit account have been removed. I did also have to raise a dispute with Equifax after flagging with VM.
I will keep an eye on it to make sure this is correct but it seems that this is the best place to actually get anything done as opposed to going on the phone.
