ip assignment automatic

I noticed today my IP address changed for a short period on startup using the chrome browser, it changed to 193.186.4.65.v4fetchtunnel.googlezip.net. (google Ireland)

It later reverted back to my correct  correct VM  IP address starting 81.96.

My vpn was not in use and does not use google, so was this related to the chrome browser acting like a proxy and if so why?, or was it a glitch?, very odd. or a hacking attempt/redirection/hijack

Would it be advisable to select the IP assignment manually rather than automatic in windows and enter the settings which requires IP address, subnet n=mask and gateway, so not sure how to fill that in.

I also have problems logging into VM with the edge browser recently even after cleaning out the browsing history/cookies so was using the chrome browse. which does connect but needing a robot check also.

I am also getting many websites requiring verification/robot check before allowing access to the website which usually is a tick box robot check

The hub 3 and my own router were OK and could login to settings so no problems there.

The extensions on the chrome browser were normal, but I will reset the chrome browser just in case.
