Hacked email account

Hi

My son’s Virgin email account (not my account holder email) has been hacked, likely by a phishing email. He has since changed his password but it looks like the hacker still has access as is replying to emails and deleting others. We tried the malware scanners but nothing found. What else can we do? We tried the VM chat but only advice was to forward the phishing emails on.

Any help or advice would be greatly received.

 

  • Can anyone help please? They are spending money on PayPal and everything, registering for different websites, logging out of websites

    If the email belongs to his personal account we can only change passwords etc with the account holder cheers.

      Thanks for coming back to us on this. If you're the account holder then it will be you we will need to speak with. I've sent you a direct message to allow us to get some personal information from you in a private space. If you're using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you're on a mobile/tablet device then instead, click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊
