Hi hackneyuser
Welcome back to our Community Forum and thanks for your post.
I've come across a similar thread here regarding this.
If you could forward the details to phishing@virginmedia.com, our team can take a closer look into this.

I think you have misunderstood and in fact the reply on the other thread has misunderstood.
This isn't phishing. ie it isn't about an email being sent.
It is about a pop up appearing on my browser whilst I am visiting various web site.
How can someone know that I am accessing the web via a VM internet connection?
And the url is listed as a scam.
So presumably I can block that site.
The main reason for posting was to alert VM that your reputation is at risk is this fake message keeps appearing and you need to get the web site that is doing this blocked.
VM media should be reporting it.- cje85Wise owl
They know you're using VM from your IP address, in the same way a site like www.whatismyipaddress.com will show you as using Virgin Media.

These are often from a rogue advert that opens a new tab displaying a scam offer or fake antivirus warning. Using a browser ad-blocker has virtually eliminated seeing this type of page.

Thank you for posting this.
An ad-blocker would stop these type of pages coming through.
