Sky now drops Sky Q as IPTV gathers pace

Sky Q is no longer available online. It's the same for Virgin Media's 360 with Stream being the only box offered to new customers. The move to IPTV is inexorable and I highly doubt whether Sky will contract with SES for satellite capacity after 2029. If this happens then Freesat will collapse also.

The above graphic states Sky Q is no longer available to buy online.

The same graphic appears online at https://www.sky.com/tv/sky-q

Scrolling towards the bottom of the page and the Sky Stream FAQ's section seems to "suggest" that Sky Q can be still be ordered over the phone.

The bottom option, "When might I be better off with Sky Q?"  in the FAQ's states

"Although Sky Stream allows you to watch the shows you love over WiFi, there may be times when Sky Q works better for you, including:

    - You don't have access to the internet
    - Your internet speeds falls below the suggested minimum speed
    - High bandwidth usage from other devices on your network
    - Your home setup limits the capabilities (e.g. thick concrete walls or interference)

If you think Sky Q is the right option for you, then please call us on 03337595262, where we'll be happy to help you make the right choice."
