Fault assistant BOT is useless
Had a broadband issue this morning - intermittent/slow connection. Checked the service status online and it said no known issues and talked me through switching the router off and on (like I don't know how to do this). Then flashing red light and no broadband. Selected "no" to has the fault been resolved. Then redirected to the BOT to get help. What a waste of time.
"what would you like to do today?" - Help with Broadband fault.
"select from the 4 below which service you have an issue with 1 - Broadband" 1 - I've already said this.
"Go to the link below and check your service status" - link doesn't work, takes me back to this chat (plus I've already done this to get to this point)
"Are there any known issues in your area 1 - yes 2 no" - well the link didn't work and there isn't an option for this, so I put in "the link doesn't work"
"Sorry I didn't understand that - input 1 or 2" - put 2 as that was the last I knew
"What best describes your issue?" - 2 No wifi
"tell us what HUB you have" - no idea - guessed at Super Hub 2
"Is the white light lit 1 - Yes, 2 - no lights" - well it's red flashing and you didn't give me this option. Put 1
"Are there any lights on the hub" - Of course there is I just answered 1 you idiot
"This means your HUB is on. Most likely your device is struggling to connect to the internet" - thanks for that amazing diagnosis - more likely it's your crap broadband service.
"How many devices are having problems? 1 - one device, 2 most devices" - actually its all devices but no option for this.
"Have you rebooted your router recently?" - of course I have it was part of the instructions
"Lets go ahead and do a factory reset" - how about no and you fix the broadband connection. Gave up at this point.
This BOT help is the worst thought out, most useless thing I've had the misfortune to use. Sorry VM but your service is garbage.
