Ex Girlfriend has moved out and account is in her name. Can't contact her now to switch/cancel account
Anyone else had this issue. I have contacted my ex-partner but they don't know any of the details to the account anymore and don't care as it's my bank details attached to the account. I have tried ordering another virgin media broadband account, but it cannot be installed as there's another "active line". I have cancelled the previous direct debit to try and nudge virgin media to cancel the previous account but they keep saying they can't do anything as the previous account is still active even though no money is being taken for it. I have recently submitted a gone away form where I was told that they are going to try and contact the old account owner at my property to see if they will close the account down. I have since had no confirmation that they have done this except an email to myself saying they have sent out a returns package to return the router and virgin tv box etc. Does this mean I am able to go ahead and begin setting up a new account with VM or not? Also would it be possible to use the setup already installed at the house on the new account or would they have to have me return it and re-install once I have joined?606Views0likes1Comment
