Powering it off via the remote and then powering it back on will always bring up the home screen with live TV in the bottom-right corner. Re: Stream box cost As far as I'm aware, if you originally received a stream box free, it should remain free – they should only be charging new customers since they rebranded it as Flex Re: Steam box apps running slow The Flex box is underpowered with the amount of RAM available for the individual streaming apps to load into and use, unlike the Virgin UI which is permanently loaded. This means that the more complicated start-up graphics and UIs can be stuttery and often slow to respond, even though the actual streaming experience is fine, as I think the apps simply hand that dogwork over to the box itself. I experience the same with Disney+ and Netflix and think living with it is the only option. Re: New control May be worthwhile checking that the remote hasn't become de-paired from the puck. The highlighted section of the video here explains how to re-pair them. Re: Can I add my existing Netflix account to Stream? You can watch on two devices at once with standard Netflix. The puck is one and your son's device is another. Re: Can I add my existing Netflix account to Stream? Yes you can as long as you're not giving over your Netflix device limit. Navigate to the app on your Stream puck and sign in with your existing credentials Re: Subscriptions app error Sorry, I meant 'you will need to tell them', not 'you will tell them'. Bit dictatorial of me. Re: Subscriptions app error Hi Pepster, you will tell them that your Stream puck and account have not been properly linked, quote the error code on the screen and ask to have your issue escalated to tier two help. Finally – the most important thing – get them to read back all the information that you have told them to make sure they're logging exactly what you've said. In my experience, the first tier helpline are embarrassingly undertrained but be nice to them – they can only work with the poor scripts they've been given. Re: Stream - can you skip or ffwd adverts? This is the VM Stream forum. Programmes can't be recorded. Re: Stream box error Owenjay, that message means that your puck hasn't been correctly linked to your account – exactly the same issue I had. You will need to escalate it to the tier two tech team by explaining clearly what the problem is to the first tier helpline and make sure you get them to repeat back to you exactly what you've told them before hanging up – their note-taking is usually awful. Follow the advice in that thread I provided.
