I don't want any contract. Can their support people just do stuff like that?? What the hell. Downgrading package I went through all the WhatsApp convo stuff because Virgin don't allow you to downgrade, only upgrade.... Already makes me angry. Went through WhatsApp and got asked the last four digits of my bank account and then silence. So, I'll try asking here to see if it's possible to get the option to downgrade my package as I don't need 1Gbit and no point paying for the speeds. What's the best way to do this, I assume I won't have to start new contract? Re: Hub 5 - 5Ghz not working Just setting my hub up again and it seems it might be a bug around setting the 5Ghz to 'Disable channel optmization' and then setting channel width to 20/40/80/160 Mhz, the 5Ghz channel either dies or the router saves it but then immediately reverts it back to 20/40/80 Mhz... Not ideal as now there's no way to use 160 Mhz. 😕 Re: Hub 5 - 5Ghz not working I got the same issue this evening, no devices were able to connect to 5Ghz. Even after multiple restarts of both router and various devices. I tried toggling various wifi options in the router to try and flush out whatever bug is causing it but in the end I had to do a factory reset of the router. That seems to have fixed it. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Port 4 is 2.5Gbit so it's probably best just to use that one to supply the rest of your network. Hopefully your access point also has at least a 2.5Gbit port too, otherwise you won't get the full speed. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router They only charge they mentioned to me was £5 delivery. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router I've not had that, mine turned up yesterday and it works well. Finally getting full speed for my network. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router Ash from Virgin on these forums confirmed that an order had been placed for the hub 5 but the person that had processed my order got something wrong so they had to redo it, but it's still on for a Friday delivery. I was told there was no delivery charge when ordering but have since been told it's £5. I'm not going to argue over £5. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router hah, yeah - fellow coder here too and same amusement with null 😛 Nothing still showing up in my orders but they do say it can take up to 24 hours so I'll keep checking. Re: Hub 5: Our first ever WiFi 6 broadband router I was told they were out of stock by the technical team that got me to reset my hub 4 to factory for testing when I requested a hub 5. 😆 I have received a confirmation this morning for delivery on date "null" so something in their system isn't quite working but I'm confident it's on the way. This is their WhatsApp number +44 7305 327112 Give that a go and good luck.
