I had the same issues but vua tge TV speakers. An update fixed tge issue, but then they (samsung) issued another update and ut broke it again. I gave started to yse a sonos Beam vua the arc port and get no interactions now. But that could always be yet another update has fixed the issue. I got fed up with the whole thing as all I git was samsung blaming vurgin media and virgin media blaming samsung. It was even a battle to get them to understand the issue. Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly Hi Beth I answer that question much further up in the message threads, last year. But the issue is not channel related for me. I have a Virgin 360 box, and the issue happens no matter what channel I watch on Virgin. It also happens if I watch a DVD via a different HDMI port. The problem went away when I upgraded my TVs firmware. But it came back mid Feb. Miles Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly Hi My issue is on hdmi 1 which has virgin 360 box on it, so all the channels. Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly Hi Tom Yes it is continuing. As I said I think this has been come back as a result of the firmware update to the Samsing TV. Miles Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly Hi The drop outs are at random times. Example, watching a film last night, it happened twice is about 5 minutes, but did happen for about 2 hours after that. Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly It appears my issues have come back. Samsung issued another firmware update in feb 2022 (version 2200). I now have intermitant sound outages again. Have reported it to them, but they just tell me to do a reset of the TV, which does not help. Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly Hi All I have updated my Q85T and since I put in the update, about a week ago, I have had no sound breaks. Miles Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly Hi do you have an update please. Miles Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly hi there is a work around which is far from ideal. go to settings on the 360 box. go to audio & video change the HDMI resolution to 1080i this seems to reduce the instances of the problem. But it does mean that you get reduced display resolution, no 4k or 1080p. far from ideal. Virgin haven't even confirmed there is an issue yet as their engineers apparently can't replicate it. Miles Re: Sound cutting out for a second repeatedly Hi The Virgin engineer arrived as agreed. I explained to him what the issue is. As I suspected would happen, he simply said " there is nothing I can do about that, all I can do is send my manager an email!" He didn't even take his coat off or do anything to the system. Total time at my house was 5 minutes. A waste of my afternoon, and a waste of his time. It has been a few weeks now, and yet I have heard absolutely nothing. I assume he did email his boss, but I have had NO feed back. So Virgin, what are you doing to fix this issue that is affecting several of your users? Miles
