I can't register because the VMO2 login pages simply says the email I am using is "invalid" and try again. So I can't register or sign in or even reset anything. My email hasn't changed - I still get emails from O2 every month with the bill details and can access the email account fine. I don't want to make a new account as that means creating a new email address and I already have enough! I simply want to be able to sign in with the email address that was already registered on my account. Thanks Unable to log in "invalid Virgin Media email" So I get a bill emailed to me every month from O2. It says the account number and what phone number is relates to. When I try to sign in to view the bill - using this link in the email: https://accounts.o2.co.uk/signin. But it redirects the page to a Virgin O2 sign on page (very long link below). I use the same email the bill is sent to and get this error message "This Virgin Media email address isn’t valid". Admittedly I've had this issues for ages but not been that bothered because the bill never changes but it is annoying I cannot sign in. I have tried raising this with O2 but their suggested solution was to get a new SIM to set up a new account or get a new contract, which seems madness considering a) they email me every month with the bill and b) the email address is valid and I can use it. Any ideas? It's definitely seems a Virgin issue as it happens trying to sign in at this page I'm redirected to: https://oauth.virginmediao2.co.uk/as/authorization.oauth2?state=1267275587&response_type=code&acr_values=2&client_id=o2_client&scope=openid%20profile%20email%20address&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Faccounts.o2.co.uk%2Fopenid%2Ffmc%2Fcallback%3FsendTo%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faccounts.o2.co.uk%252F%253Fcheckproduct%253Dtrue&nonce=1163586576 Oh. And all I get is the "try again" option. Nothing else. And no matter how many times I try the same email again it's the same error. Grrr Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package Quick update on this - all amicably resolved in the end with the much appreciated assistance from Steven_L at Virgin. Definitely a good end to the week. Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package Don't worry, I'm not about to go running to the ICO. Its not as if any information shared here can personally identify me so it's all cool ❤️ Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package Hello Steven_L, yes please that would be helpful. The text and email I had confirming the Broadband change make no reference to changing anything else, I can provide copies via private message if necessary. Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package It doesn't state that in the terms they sent me - if they had I wouldn't be querying it. Plus the fact is I never signed up to anything apart from the Broadband change. Why would a business upsell something and downgrade something in conjunction without making that explicitly clear - it would only ever result in dissatisfied and confused customers. Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package Thank you Steven_L. I don't understand why a new 'package' had to be created though. On Friday the text message offer was for broadband to go from 350M to 500M for £4 a month. There is no reference whatsoever to changing any other part of the contract I signed in January 2023. That is how I don't see why the TV was altered - I never asked for it and it was never mentioned in any small print. Effectively by changing my TV without my consent is a breach of the contract I had (which ran to Jul24). I am now without the channels I am paying for on the basis of a contract that was incorrectly issued/amended on 4 Feb. I am still not totally sure what I am going to end up with either - I do appreciate you have tried to explain. Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package Thanks. Maxit may be legacy but I still had 6 months of my contract to go on it so I don't see how Virgin can remove it, that's breaking the contract. All I did was sign up for broadband upgrade yet they downgraded the TV element, when no TV changes were part of the broadband upgrade. It makes no sense why they did that. Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package Sorry, meant to add - don't want to buy an extender for a service that should be provided by Virgin. I know extenders can be bought cheaply but the cost of Virgin isn't cheap Re: Broadband upgrade has changed TV package Yeah got Volt. Every time I do a scan with the VM Connect app it says 'good' but in reality the signal is poor in areas I know this because we all have issues with lagging on games and Zoom calls/Teams etc so never says I am eligible for pods
