For other people who have relatives suffering the same problem, the Flipper remote was the answer for my mum, no more pressing buttons she doesn't need, just channel +- and volume +- , also I have programmed it to only turn off the tv and not the virgin box which she did sometimes, and can programme favourites in the flipper remote so she can only scroll up/down through her normal channels without getting lost, shame virgin can't do the same for their customers, none of the accessibility features are any help to people with dementia, hope this helps others in the same situation.48Views1like0CommentsRe: helping people suffering from dementia
How long did you leave it though, on my V6 it always defaults back to All Channels after about 1 hour, I'd assume the Tivo will do the same. I want it to ONLY show favourite channels not only on the guide but more importantly when scrolling using the CH+ CH- buttons, all the time.81Views0likes0Commentshelping people suffering from dementia
My mum who has dementia is struggling more and more with her Tivo remote and generally using the TV service, which she relies on living alone. I have ordered a simpler remote, flipper big button remote control, but what would improve things greatly is if I could limit the channels to the few she actually watches, she gets lost even just going up & down the channels and can't get back to her normal programs. Is there any way to lock the box to only show favourite channels, instead of it always returning back to all channels unless you select favourites again from the drop down menu. Thanks for the replies Sorry, my mistake, I have got a V6 box and sure I've watched games on Ultimate previously. Why was the scheduled live match not shown on Ultimate tonight PSG v Barcelona Recorded but it was just 2 hrs of trailers and ads, no live game! Have a series link but as the games are spread across TNT1 & TNT 2 (and Ultimate) I have to select all channels but then sometimes the box will randomly select to record on ultimate. What was the reason and is this going to happen again, therefore do I have to manually change all my future recordings to avoid TNT Sports Ultimate.1.3KViews0likes6Comments
