I wasn’t watching it so I had ignored it but realised this morning that it had been stuck in this loop for a few days now. I did the power button and + button reset which got me from TiVo to 360 and the box came up normally again - but without the whole download process of the upgrade. 🤷🏼♂️ I haven’t had new hardware in a very long time. Way before the pandemic. I’m trying to ascertain if it’s possible my box is past its use-by date. Have they produced new internal hardware in recent years or do even the newest boxes feature the same motherboard, etc.? I think mine says it’s an Arris DCX960. I’ll be contacting support if this happens again. Thanks. SolvedRe: TV 360 Upgrade failure so, I had done the clear and reset that I didn’t know you shouldn’t do. However, doing a ‘+ and power’ seemed to get me back into TiVo land. It applied two or three updates and then let me look around the system but it was complaining about my account and not showing any apps. Then suddenly it went off again. Then showed the grey screen with a white circle which I’d never seen before. Then a new download screen for a few moments. Then all of a sudden it was TV 360. Re: TV 360 Upgrade failure Update: He’s booked me an engineer now. TV 360 Upgrade failure Suspect this is an old story. Ordered the upgrade. New remote arrived. Upgrade failed. tried rebooting the box and it instantly shows an upgrade failure: I thought I’d be smart and reset my V6 box because it’s very old and slow and what could possibly go wrong. It ran through its reset process. Finally said it was deleting everything and then rebooted and showed a download symbol as though it was downloading fresh firmware. Then it reboots and repeats. It’s been stuck doing this for hours now. I tried cutting power for a cold start but it just goes straight back into this failing firmware download loop. Is my box goosed? I’m trying to get help through WhatsApp but after an hours wait the guy is telling me to reboot the box and everything will be fine in half an hour. Solved
