So far good, symmetrical speed, lower ping, better stability, and 10W less energy consumption by the server rack by getting rid of the VM hub. GCNAT can be solved with £5 per month for "static" IPv4, but most of the services are moved to zero trust and tunnels anyway and were not affected, so might skip getting one. Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media Not sure what you mean by `no public-facing v6`, but we have IPv6 enabled product with AWS. All Load balancers and EC2 instances have public V6 if needed. Didn't run into any v6 limitations, except maybe routing a v6 subnet to an ec2 instance, but not really needed it. Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media The price of keeping IPv4 infrastructure is going up https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/new-aws-public-ipv4-address-charge-public-ip-insights/ . I think "IPv6 router advertisements" is just a misconfiguration on the VM side. they just have no idea how to fix it, nor how to deploy IPv6. We must remember to come back next year and mark the occasion I got a fiber option now! and other companies giving 500/500 for the same price as virgin 200, I am gone as soon as my contract with VM runs out. Re: IPv6 support on Virgin mediaHow do you solve issues with geolocation and tunnel? most ipv6 enabled websites sent me to the lake in the US 😞 I mean a lot of websites redirect me to the US version instead of the UKRe: IPv6 support on Virgin mediaLike current stuff understand ipv4? the only they say: "reboot your router" and "it is your WiFi fault" when you connected using an ethernet CAT6e cable and show them tracing logs to their equipment.Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media earthworm48 wrote: I’m coming to this late so my catch up is there isn’t IPv6 currently on VM and idea when it will rollout? official plans were in 2019. Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media David_Bn wrote: Thanks for your post jamesmacwhite, and welcome back to our Forums. We will be sure to keep all customers updated, if or when IPv6 is implemented on our network Kindest regards, David_Bn and now it is an "if"! yeah I know that the local "forum team" know nothing, just strange they still keep coming back to this topic with their useless updates. Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media After moving house came back to VM, openreach network was only 20Mbit in this area, which is very sad. Got super Hub 4 with fan in it! currently HE tunnel is working fine, getting ~200+Mbit for multi-stream download and ~32Mbit for uploads, https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/1625581719833838755 this is over wifi with temporary network setup (haven't had my server cabinet set yet)
