Thes 'no-name / no-number' calls are hanging up the line for the duration as the phone ACTUALLY believes there is an incoming call in progress. This is quite serious now. Maybe a forum member could answer whether or not VM would treat a cancellation of my package in these circumstances as needing an early repayment charge as i am now considering leaving and going elsewhere. At the very least we should get a reduction in our overall package allowing me to withdraw from my phone service and reinstate it elsewhere if VM seem incapably ignorant of ways to fix. Quite easy ... they should provide compatible equipment to those fee payers affected. Comment please VM. Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved) Hi @superloopy Our Voice engineering teams have concluded that the "no number" issue is device specific and not a global issue. The route cause is located on the handsets’ sensitivity to power fluctuations received from the Hub. Forum Team Thanks, i think everyone on this community forum already appreciated what the problem is. What are Virgin going to do about it? I am missing calls on my phone due to the number of no-name/no-ring calls being received daily which are filling up my phone's call memory. Are Virgin going to replace our handsets as, after all, this is not OUR/MY problem. Things were working just fine until VM replaced my HUB3 with a HUB5 which was necessary to receive its GIg1 service. Unfortunately they never mentioned any replacement of kit for the phone service, now switched to VOIP and for which Virgin urgently need to supply a compatible phone under OFGEM's t&cs. Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved)Well now. I just checked back afterw two weeks absence to see what progress has been made and see that we are no further forward. Have just cleared my phones call log after it filled during my absence with 'no-name' calls so have no idea if i've missed anything of importance or not, In the words of a former prime minister 'THIS IS A DISGRACE' and needs to be fixed immediately. For info, yet again, mys system comprises a BT8500 Trio system and i'm beginning to question why we are accepting of this as a community, where's our compensation for this shambolic state of affairs??Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved) Re: time mismatch additional problems. Just checked my call logs and some of the calls are showing '63:59' as an incoming time, must be anew one. Seems the VM offerring is well screwed and not fit for purpose. Who's going to be first to ask for compensation until this priblem is fixed as we are NOT getting an acceptable level of service! Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved) I'd be interested in ditching my landline too in the circumstance but have no idea of how VOIP works or how to sett things up? Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved) Ive still got my SH3. Anyway to use this for my phone signal alongwith HUB5? The superhub3 was rock solid, since being supplied a HUB5, needed for Gig1 service, daily noname calls which fill up my calls log. Come on VM, its obvious theres a problem here with the supplied HUB5, just sort it out quickly! Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved) Has HUB4 hot a 2.5gb port on it? If not then data throughput will be strapped at times. Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved) -So ... its all down tothe HUB5 then as thats the only change since you upgraded me, only 10 days ago. Had no problems of any sort with the SH3 running my 250mb service. Maybe i should regress to a 500mb service within my cooling off period and revert back to SH3 for an easier life? Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved) Should read BT8500 Trio digital cordless Item code 078628 add this to your database... Re: Constant "no number calls" since moving to IP Telephone from landline (Home) (Resolved)-I 'upgraded' from SH3(250mb) to HUB5 (gig1) and , lo & behold, have received these calls daily ever since. Ive got 4xBT8500 package. Do Virgin want to swap for kit which doesnt suffer these persistent problems ...
