I would imagine most people have spent a lot of money on Soundbars and TVs to be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos via HDMI 2.1 and earc. This works with every other source attached, so this clearly points to a problem with the Virgin 360 box. So surely Virgin should be looking to solve the problem rather than the usual, "have you tried different cables, have you tried turning it off and back on again" "Well yes of course we've tried all that Virgin, so just solve the god damm problem" Re: 360 Box ARC problem So come on then Virgin, when are you actually going to take responsibility and do something about the faults that are clearly being caused by your 360 Box. We pay decent money so instead of just ignoring the problem why don't you actually investigate all the complaints and do something about them. Re: 360 Box ARC problem As others have said when using other sources, we don't have a problem. However the Minute the 360 Box is turned on it corrupts all my TV and Soundbar settings, yet Virgin still refuse to take responsibility and correct the obvious problems with their equipment. I've even had a engineer from Virgin come out and admit it's a problem with their box, but then stating they haven't got a clue how to fix it. So it seems they arnt bothered. Oh well I'm sure they will be when I cancel the TV part of my package at the end of my contract, until they take responsibility and fix the issue. Re: 360 Box ARC problem As above, this only happens when the Virgin 360 Box is connected, so yes it is a problem with the 360 box. For some unknown reason it seems to interfear with the TVs / Soundbars settings. When will Virgin start to take responsibility for this issue rather than just wash your hands of any responsibility. Re: 360 Box ARC problem Yeah tried all that Dave. I've got pair TV and Change Audio setup. So gone into Change Audio setup and set it to LG SP11 for my soundbar and it works, but the minute I close that screen and return back, it stops controlling the soundbar. Re: 360 Box ARC problem Yeah tried all the different settings lads. At the mo the 360 box is set to "Follow content". One thing I did notice when setting the remote, it controls the soundbar when setting it up through the testing page, but then once set, it stops working and won't control the Soundbar anymore. Another thing is sometimes it also affects the TVs magic remote. For example when watching our nvidia shield, the soundbar volume can be changed via the LG TV magic remote, however switch the Virgin box on and the only way change the Soundbar volume is with the Soundbar remote. Weird, like I say it's as though the 360 box is corrupting my TV/Soundbar Re: 360 Box ARC problem Basically Richard I've got a New LG G1 oled and new LG Sp11 Ra Soundbar. For an example I've got an Nvidia Shield that is connected via HDMI cable to the TV and then the TV is connected via HDMI CABLE from the TV through to the sound bar. The TV sound settings are Sound out: HDMI (ARC Device), DTV Audio Setting: Auto, Hdmi input Audio Format: Bitstream, Digital Sound Output: Pass Through and earc Support set to on. This works flawlessly. We then have the Virgin 360 box also connected to the TV via Hdmi via all the same settings, however the minute we so much as turn the Virgin TV box on, it alters all the TVs sound settings and starts to play Audio through the TV settings. It's as though the 360 box corrupts the TV. Re: 360 Box ARC problem Thanks for letting us know that your issues have now been resolved @SavaSnoopy. Regards, Steven_L Hi Steven any help for the rest of us having issues on this thread? If Virgin can't resolve then the 360 box is pointless as we cannot watch. Re: 360 Box ARC problem Thanks mate, tried all that but no joy and the minute we turn the Virgin box on the TV reverts back to playing Sound through the TV speakers. End of the day, clearly there is an issue with the Virgin box / software, so if they won't resolve, I'll just cancel the TV part of my contract when due for renewal as its not fit for purpose. Don't get me wrong, the broadband is great, but I'm also.paying for the TV and frankly can't use it. Re: 360 Box ARC problem Did you ever get this sorted mate. We've had exactly the same problems with the 360 box. Our set up is Virgin 360 connected via an HDMI (high speed certified cable) to the 2021 LG G1 Oled, then the TV connected to the LG 2021 Soundbar SP11 RA via Earc and again a high speed certified HDMI cable and the minute I turn on the Virgin box it affects the TV and reverts the sound back to the TV speakers. Even if we arnt watching Virgin and are watching something else from a Streaming device connected to another input, it keeps affecting our TVs sound. The only way we can watch anything with sound coming from the Soundbar as its set to, is to completely turn off the 360 box or even disconnect it. It's even got to the point where we are paying for Virgin 360 but cannot even watch it. We even had an engineer from Virgin come out and basically he hadn't got a clue, other than say for some reason the 360 box clashes with the TV, sound settings. If no resolution by the end of our contract then I'll just cancel the 360 box and switch to Sky.
